WAY BEHIND

Hey everyone!!

I am so behind on my blogging!  Today is catch up day :)  My sister and I did great in the race this weekend in Atlanta.  It was a wonderful weekend.  We did some shopping(all day actually) and I got some new items that incorporate the fall trends(yay!!).
Up before the sun to run in the race.
Now, to finish up those fall trends.  Camel is a huge one.  I happen to love this trend. It is everywhere and there are countless ways to incorporate this into your wardrobe.  The best way in my opinion... a camel colored coat.  The thing that I love about this trend is that it won't go out of style.  You can wear a camel colored coat for years to come.

All of these items are from Top Shop.  Click on the item to go to the link.  There is an abundance of camel items out there- shoes, bags, coats, sweaters, skirts, scarves you name it.  Top Shop has a huge selection to choose from.

Another fall trend that I love- Clogs.  There is one pair that I have had my eye on for a while.

Maxi skirts are transitioning into wardrobes this fall also.  You have to make sure it's not a summery one though. I love maxi skirts because I love the bohemian feel but this trend won't be for everyone.

I love this plaid one. I also love the way they have it styled.

A plain skirt is also a good way to go. This one from Forever 21 is very affordable and can be worn in tons of ways.

Over the knee socks are a trend that I have been seeing EVERYWHERE.  You can't walk through a mall or look in a fashion magazine without seeing them.  I personally won't be adopting this trend but to each his own, right?  I think it looks precious on some people(like this model below), but on me this would be terrible.

That pretty much wraps up my thoughts on the trends for fall.  Most of these I have already added to my wardrobe!  The weather has been cooler here the past week so I have even been able to start wearing some of them! Boots weather is here.. woohoo!!
Have a good rest of the week!!

Fall Trends: Faux Fur

Faux Fur is our trend for today!! This trend and I go waaaayyy back to when I was only 3 years old.  My daddy bought me a faux fur dalmation coat and matching muff.  I wore it EVERYWHERE.  Now, I hardly ever wear this look.  There are some really affordable options out there, though, that look really nice.  I also love the accessories that incorporate fur for the people like me who don't want to wear a fur coat.

I love this combination.  All morning, I have been trying to find this sweater on the ASOS web site because I would order this whole look.  The best thing about this fur cowl?  It's only $33.

I like the faux  fur vests that are everywhere, as long as they aren't too shaggy.  In my opinion, they look more chic when they are shorter.  I like this one by Michael Kors.

Faux Fur purses are a good way to incorporate the look if you don't want to go all out.

I really like this clutch from Top Shop.  There is a more affordable one from Urban Outfitters that I like even more.  I think this would be the perfect amount to add if you want to ease into wearing faux fur.

As with the vests, I think faux fur coats look best in shorter hair varieties.  I really like this one from Top Shop.

This is a really affordable vest from Forever 21.  I like this.  I may buy a less expensive vest like this to try out the trend.

I LOVE this vest.  I really like the color.. and it seems like it would be really soft.  I also like that it is longer.

Here is an example of a mix of leather and faux fur.  I love leather jackets anyway, the collar is an added bonus :)

I am crazy about this item.  This is a parka with a fur lining from Free People.  The awesome thing about this is, you can remove the lining and wear it as a vest.  Very Cool!

I really like this vest.  It is not as overwhelming as some faux fur vests can be.  I also really like the shape and the way it falls.

This is an example of the shearling that I mentioned yesterday.  It is everywhere.  I love these.  If they didn't look so much like a pair I already bought, I would think about buying them. :)

Shearling on a purse.  I want this.

This cuff, found on Etsy, has fur incorporated into it.  I love this.. so unique and beautiful.

I found this on Etsy.  This is a really cute faux fur purse with a chain strap.

I found this on Etsy as well.  Let your I Pad enjoy this trend too.  Too cute!

This is a very unique faux fur necklace I found on Etsy.  This would be another small way to incorporate faux fur into your wardrobe.

That's all for today!! Have a wonderful Tuesday.  Up tomorrow.. Crazy for Camel. (hint: it's not the animal)

Trends: Military Inspired

Day 2 of my focus on fall trends will be about one of my personal favorites.. Military inspired pieces ( and no, it's not because my boyfriend is in the military) :)

The stuff is everywhere and has been for a while.  This is not a new trend, but it is still going strong.  From cargo pants to camo-which I personally am not a huge fan of for fashion purposes.  I do, however, LOVE the military green color, the boots that we get from this inspiration and the jackets.  I also loveee the bags.  This trend really can easily be adopted by most.   Let me just go into examples.  Some of these I already own.. and the rest are on my wish list...

I have been looking at this backpack on Urban Outfitters for a while now.  I am waiting on it to go on sale. I love it!

I just bought these and can't wait to wear them! I got mine from DSW... but you can get them online.  There are alot of military inspired boots out there, but alot of them I am not a fan of because there are too many buckles for me.  I looove these though.

I am not a huge fan of cargo pants, but these I like.  I think it is all about how you style them.

I already have 2 jackets in this style and color but mine dont have a belt.  I like that about this one.  One thing I love about these style jackets are the cool pockets.

This is a completely different take on the trend.  You can glam it up a little rather than going for the utilitarian look.

I love this shirt.  It could be worn like this, or unbuttoned with  another shirt underneath for something different (maybe a lace top or something striped or floral to shake things up a bit.)

This vest from J Crew is super cute.   I saw another version of this at Old Navy a while back  that was less expensive.  This one has shearling on the inside, which I love.  There is alot of shearling showing up this Fall.

I love this bag. Period.

This sweater is precious.  I love the button detail on the shoulder.  I just bought a flowy top from Forever 21 in this same color with gold buttons on the shoulders like that.  Love it.

This jacket is a little on the expensive side.  I absolutely love it though.  It shows how cute these jackets look belted.  I am going to belt mine after finding this :)

I just found a a necklace similiar to this at a vintage shop. I love the gold coins.

I love the flowy, more girly take on the military shirts.  I threw this in to show that not everything has to be green! I just love that military green, so I am drawn to those items.

Military inspired items can also be found on Etsy.  Here are some of my favorites.

This bag is actually upcycled from military canvas. Neat!

My boyfriend gave me one of these ripcord bracelets a long time ago.  Super cool.

I absolutely love this.

A girly version of the trend.  Too cute!

That's all for this trend!! There is something out there for everybody :)  Coming tom.. Faux Fur!
Have a wonderful day everybody!

Fall Trends: Animal Prints

As I said earlier, I am going to pick one of my favorite fall fashion trends each day and share some affordable items that fit the trend.  I will show easy ways to incorporate it into your wardrobe.  Lastly, I will show some items from Etsy that fit the trend.

Without further ado.. first trend on the list is animal print.

Many people cringe when they hear animal print.  I think if incorporated in small ways, it can be an easy trend to adopt.  Wearing an animal print accessory- a bag, earrings, scarf,etc- can be a good way to ease into it.  I also like animal print cardigans(but I really love cardigans in general because they are so comfy).

This Free People cardigan from Nordstrom is a stylish way to keep warm when the air starts getting cooler.

This dress from ASOS is  a good example of a more casual leopard dress.  Typically, leopard dresses are more cocktailish and dressy.  I like this more laid back dress.

This top from Modcloth has a black zipper up the back that you cant see.   It would be really cute tucked into a black skirt or just worn with jeans.

This item is a really inexpensive version of a leopard print dress.

I LOVE this top from Top Shop.  This would look precious with black skinny jeans and some pumps.  It would also look great with jeans tucked into some black boots.

This Free People coat is a cute version of some animal print outerwear. :) I bet it's really soft too..

There are also lots of cute animal print items to be found on Etsy!! Some of my favorite jewelry items for this trend were found there.

I am IN LOVE with these.  The burnt orange color just screams Fall.

This clutch would be a good way to incorporate the trend into your wardrobe.

Love feather earrings.. double points for being animal print.
How cute is this? This post isn't really about children's clothing but I couldn't resist this.  It is just too adorable.
This dress would be really cute this fall with some black tights and a black cardigan.
I love this.  I am really into infinity scarves right now.
Coming tom... Military Trend.  Have a good day everybody!
